You send a DM to a Hiring Manager for a job opening and do not hear back.I want to be real here....It is probably on you.I get 5-8 DMs like this per day.The general messaging is this..."I am an IC at XYZ company. I saw you have an opening for an AE. Can we grab 15 minutes together to discuss the role?"Delete.Here is what would get my attention...."Dave, I am a 3X President's Club winner here at ABC company. I also wrote our 6-week email campaign for our office that resulted in 4 additional companies signing-up with us. I saw your post on culture last week and know I can bring the Whatever It Takes mentality to your team. Can we chat for 15 mins on Tues at 5pm or Wed at 5:30pm? Have a great day!"That is quantifiable. It stands out from the crowd.I would immediately go to that person's LinkedIn page and start looking around at their recent posts, comments and activity.If you want to take it a step further....get dressed like you were doing an interview and send that same messaging in video message.Now you can show your confidence, your personality and truly stand out from the masses of people sending the typical DM.It takes a little more work but it is well worth it.I hope this helps and if you sent me a DM already and want to redo it, go for it!We are hiring here for AE and SDR roles by the way as well.#hiring #standout #firstimpressions

Great couple of days bouncing around NYC for meetings. I've been several times for both business and pleasure but at this time of year it was something else. Everywhere was absolutely buzzing. ✅ Verbal offer acceptance to end the trip✅ Finalised terms with a new customer in the Data space - Finalizing the JD's tomorrow for three headcount... more to follow✅ Confirmed logistics for a final round for GM - EMEA for a ground breaking MedTech company✅ Caught up with my good pal Mr Guy✅ After 3 + years, finally met up with the lovely Fran and some of her team at Fifteen West (solid R2R for those in need)✅ Ate McDonalds breakfast 3 days on the trot✅ Did some tourist stuff✅ Had an onsite today to discuss priority hiring with an existing customer .... Great team and product in the data spaceIf you are commutable to NYC and open to working on a hybrid basis (3 days in office) the following roles are open to start January 3rd... I’ve really enjoyed hiring a VP of Sales recently for a high growth, Martech SaaS business – as part of the search we had c.400 applicants and sounded out c.150 other potentials & I ended up meeting about 20 candidates between 220 – 400k packages. I ended up shortlisting 6 people & here’s the main reasons I didn’t progress:- Most could quote their numbers but when pushed on HOW they / their teams got to those numbers, they struggled to articulate the process;- Strong examples around what world class sales enablement / demand gen looks like – as a SaaS sales leader in the current climate, this is imperative;Managing underperformance – many examples of simply letting nature take its course here. That’s simply not good enough at this level;- Hiring – how did they plan to hire their teams, did thy set out a framework for what they wanted & consider why they wanted that experience and importantly did they stick to it? In many cases they didn't planned or veered off course too easily;A few people were just incredibly full of themselves and waffled a lot or didn’t listen, others were just too senior for what the client needs but as a process its been one of the most enjoyable and eye-opening I’ve managed for a while.Have you hired in this space recently?
