Capcom Sale: Resident Evil 4 (PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4) $20 & More + Free Store Pick Up at GameStop (2024)

I want to order Mega Man Battle Network but I worry they gonna ship me unsealed copy. Happened to me quite a few times. I usually do store pickup but none in stock around me.

RE4 for PS5 is $19 on Amazon all day long

Decent game but if you haven't played it yet, the dead space remake is better

Most of these titles are the same price at Amazon/Target/Walmart/etc - get them there.

GameStop loves to send already opened games with a label holding it closed that says "New". The receipts you get also won't say whether you bought them New or Used, it will just label the game. So you can't contest it, either. Any cards in it with codes for in-game items or bonuses will already have been used by someone else.

Get these games elsewhere.

I've heard the games are opened because the employees can take them home and play the games (possibly redeeming the codes) treating them like free game rentals as a perk of working there. I don't know if that's true because I don't know anyone who works there. It's just what I've heard. I agree it's best to buy from somewhere else if you care about new.

Besides a lack of deals most of the year, my other main reason I rarely go to Gamestop is usually only 1 employee working the counter in spite of long lines and some people taking forever. Long ago when there were long lines, companies would call additional employees to help. Now that is fairly rare everywhere because they prefer to be "understaffed" (every company's favorite forever excuse) and make customers wait. There are exceptions, but I avoid stores with unpleasantly long lines.
